MathSpeak is a series of international conferences. Following the success of the first conference in London in Autumn 2013, to an audience of 200 Maths teachers, further worldwide events are now planned. 

We are delighted to announce the first two Indian MathSpeak conferences will examine issues with the teaching of Mathematics as diverse as assessment and pedagogy, to professional standing of teachers, to the impact of technology on the classroom.

Supported by the Education for Employability Foundation these events will be an exciting, radical new departure for Education and Training in India raising the expertise, effectiveness, professional development and standing of Maths Teaching across India. The conferences will bring expertise an experience from India and the rest of the world to drive forward Maths teaching and the skills of Maths teachers in to the 21st Century.

Goal:
To provide a forum for Mathematics teachers to share experience, see best practice and understand the latest developments in the teaching of Mathematics to the 14 to 19 cohort primarily but not exclusively.

Audience:
Mathematics teachers working in schools, colleges and similar institutions, those managing them, and those directly supporting them among management in schools and colleges, those training teachers, providers, awarding bodies, inspectorates, regulators, publishers, systems suppliers, trainers and recruiters.

Plans:
A target of over 300 practitioners are expected to attend each of the one day events. These first two Indian events will be in August 2014. Similar conferences are planned for major conurbations across India in 2015 and 2016.

Scope:
For delegates the conferences will cover the latest developments in teaching 14 to 19 Mathematics and Numeracy cohort including the delivery of formal school certification qualifications, Functional Skills, Stem Skills etc., areas of Continuing Professional Development as well as recent changes to Qualification specifications and delivery, and new technological developments, will be focus areas.

For sponsors, supporters and exhibitors the conference will provide organisations will an opportunity to meet the practitioners in Mathematics teaching and provide an efficient, effective and successful marketing opportunity
